  • Property contract actions.

DEBT
If you have a debtor in Spain and wish to claim the payment of outstanding invoices or any other type of debt resulting from a business relationship, you must take into account that before starting any legal proceedings, you must first follow a certain process in order to make sure that you can recover the claim. Due to the great amount of people that come over to Spain every year and decide to invest in the country, it is becoming increasingly common to see how Solicitors from other countries in Europe and overseas require to enforce sentences that have been passed abroad but concern people with assets in Spain.
SEPARATION/ DIVORCE
Separation between a couple may be ?ede facto?f separation (the spouses decide to live separate and apart from each other, though they are still married); and judicial separation which may be by mutual agreement or a litigious one. u8232 Divorce is legally established in Spain since 1981. Foreigners who have been married in other countries can, if one of the parties is now resident in Spain, obtain a divorce here that will be recognised in their country. u8232 According to the last Civil Code reform, there is no need to ask firstly for the legal separation, you can even ask for the divorce directly. The only requirement is the spouses should have been married for three months, and divorce may be by mutual agreement or litigious one.
